Sam and his girlfriend broke up this week. So last night he was moping about the house all depressed. We figured we had to do something even though he didn't feel like it and I just wanted to prepare my lesson. We ended up going to the movie "Apocalyptico" with some random girls. We got to the theatre and the girls had brought even more dudes with them. The movie turned out to be so outrageously violent that the girls left, leaving Sam and I to watch the movie alone with these random dudes.

Caleb, you have to email me sometime and tell me about that movie! I have been wanting to see it, but I want a little heads up on what to expect.

Jess i'm ot going to lie to you its pretty gory. at times i had to look away because it was so excessive. at the same time, however, the movie was interesting enough that i don't regret watching it. its starts out as an interesting look into mayan culture. in this way movies super original. it then turns into braveheart in that its about a brutally oppressed group. in the end however it turns into a standard mel gibson action movie, where the main character kills all his enemies against all odds in interesting ways. at this point you begin to wonder if all the violence was worth it since the story has become so simplistic. An interesting end kind of saves it. Although not very original, given the context of the movie, the ending is satisfying in that it maintains and further develops the themes of the story.

Wow, Caleb I found your review to be very intriguing, you should be a movie reviewer. I like the blogg. I hardly see you any more we should have you over for dinner sometime again.

Sam I am said...

i think it's funny that the only comments on this are about the moivie we went to see after me and kailey broke up. i think we all need to be alittle more concerned with how i'm doing with all this and not the rad yet horrificly bloody film we went to see after the fact.
